Noodles and Boots!

Ok peeps who wants to know how to use swim noodles in their closet!?! When our boots are left laying over with a crease in the leather it puts more wear on the material. Plus lets be honest, its frustrating and takes up more closet space than necessary! They do have boot inserts for this specific frustration, but those can add up and get pricey, so lets use something a little easier on the wallet. (click on the swim noodles button above to go to amazon where you can get the best ones for the price that I have found!)

Swim noodles!!!

Place a noodle in one of the boots, with your finger measure down about 1/4 of an inch inside the boot so when you cut the noodle it will not be seen over the top. Than use scissors and cut the noodle. Make sure you make two of them and you are good to go!

Tip: don't over think it, just use your finger, make a guestimate and cut away! This is supposed to be easy and affordable. So you OCD peeps out there put away your measuring tape! lol! :)

Above the Pesky Microwave

How do you deal with that awkwardly shaped, small cupboard with a huge chord running though it?! I have two AMAZING solutions just for you!
1- Utilize the space for a medicine cabinet, perfect size and up high out of the reach of littles.
2- Use it for your spices because its right there above the stove most of the time!
Tip 1: Buy a cabinet organizer as shown below from Amazon or Target. Make sure to measure your space and buy two if they will fit! One on either side of the ginormous chord! LOL!

Happy Organizing!

Beautiful Office Space

When you work from home, making your space beautiful and funcitonal can be difficult. The only way to make this happen is to assess what you personally need to make it work.
Tip 1: Utilize the space and furniture you have, add drawer organizers, bins and boxes.
Tip 2: When and if you need to purchase more furniture pieces make sure you get something specifically for what you are needing.
Tip 3: Don't over think it. Make it functional and put everything in a place and keep it there.

Kids Closet/ Toy Storage

Who out there has to use their kids closet as a toy storage as well? For Emily we really needed to create some kind of sanity in this space so her littles could utilize both their toys and their clothes and shoes etc.

Tip 1: Put clothes together according to what they are, such as tanks, long t-shirts, sweatshirts etc.
Tip 2: When you have deep shelves use deep bins, but make sure they are labeled.
Tip 3: Make things accessible, not hard to get too.
Tip 4: Put toys in clear bins so it is easy for your children to see.
Tip 5: Utilize your space correctly, as seen below, we used nails on that long empty wall to hang hats on and got a great inexpensive shoe holder for under the clothes. Once again easy access but put away!
Make sure when you organize you do it in a way that is most helpful for you! Use my tips but use them in a way that you will keep put together! Some have asked about how littles can get to the books when they are so high? Those are the extra books and than there is a few next to their bed for bedtime stories.. just keeps them put away.

Baby Organization

For all you cute mommas out there today is a post on baby room organization. Let's make taking care of your littles easier with an organized system.
Lets start with making the space your own, decorate cleanly but add your personality.

Tip 1: Remember you can make a space functional and exciting
Tip 2: Make sure your changing station has all your essentials and remember to keep them stocked as much as you can.
Tip 3: Always have a place for everything and try hard to keep it in order.  Keeping it in place is easier than trying to put it back in place.
Tip 4: Some kind of baskets or bins are key!!!
Tip 5: Getting all the same hangers makes it look clean which will help you keep it looking orderly.
Tip 6: Keep same types of clothes together for example, pants with pants, coats with coats, long sleeve with long sleeve. Looks cohesive and makes it easy to find what you are looking for.
Tip 7: Create space is possible to put your extras in the closet such as diapers. Remember always try to stock up on disposable items so you are not running to the store for something small creating more stress on the household.
Tip 8: Like I said before bins, bins, bins!!! Keeping everything stored makes it easy to stay clean.
Tip 9: Know what you use the most and what works the best keep those items up front.
Tip 10: I think this is the best tip of all, kids will learn to put things away if they know where to put them. They are the same as adults, if toys don't have a place they will leave it a mess. Make a game out of clean up! You might have to switch things around as you see what works for your littles. Don't be afraid to make it work according to your littles.
Tip 11: Create different spaces if you can, a car section, a puzzle section, a reading section etc. Than your little can be in one space at a time not pulling out ALL the toys at once. Making it easier on everyone!

Alright peeps I hope that was hopeful! Send me your thoughts, what is your most helpful tip?!
Happy Organizing!

Art-Craft-Work Space

Alright as promised today we are talking Art/ Craft/ Work Space!
Here was my teaser picture I posted on Instagram of my craft and work space, even us professional organizers have our messy days, but because everything I own has a place it was easy to put it back in order. I love lots of color as you can see and thats alright as long as you keep things orderly!

Tip 1: Organizing cards into their specific occasions, putting them in bins and labeling them specifically. Makes it so easy to grab one when the occasion arrives.
Tip 2: You can use any drawer space for all your ribbon, keep it in same colors and in holiday specific. This will help you see exactly what you have.
Tip 3: Remember it might not look perfect but if everything has a place than you have done it
Creative people can have a hard time keeping things tidy cause its all about making the creation happen. Mckenzie Jones is an amazing artist featured below and we moved her from her moms into her newly married apartment. It got pretty messy during finals but because she had a space for everything just like I mentioned above putting it all back together was not so hard. Now we got her  space set up to get her ready for her new adventure, teaching art classes. Check her out on her insta @kenzerela she is beyond incredible!

What is your idea of a perfect art/craft/workspace?! Would love to hear all about it! I am in a constant search for better organization ideas daily! I believe we can always improve!
